April 12: “Canadian National Institute for the Blind Low Vision Clinic”, Grand Bend Area Community Health Centre Adult Day Wing 10 – 2 p.m. Do you have vision problems and would like some help accessing services, aids and advice? April 19: “Grand Bend Women’s Institute” Pot luck Annual lunch and meeting. Installation of officers.

April 25: “Huron Country Playhouse Guild” will hold their regular monthly luncheon meeting at Hessenland. This is our Annual Organizational and Planning Meeting and we hope all members will be able to attend. Please call Marguerite at 519-238-2331 for further information. Guests are also welcome!

April 30: “Grand Bend Horticultural Society” meeting Grand Bend Legion 7pm. Kate Monk of the Ausable-Bayfield Conservation Authority will be speaking to us on the identification, control and eradication of Phragmites. It is an alien plant, rapidly destroying our native plants while invading our nearby wetlands, beaches and arable land.

May 1: Healthy Lifestyle Exercise in Port Franks FREE: Linedancing starts at 8:30 followed by exercise from 9-10 a.m. Port Franks Community Centre. The last day for classes will be May. Group will continue to walk outside on Tuesday & Thursdays if
enough interest.

May 2: Grand Bend Golden Agers Monthly luncheon meeting 12:30 pm at the Legion. Shuffleboard every Monday from 10-12 and Thurs. 9-11. Euchre every second, third and fourth Wed. at 1 p.m.

May 2,9,16,23,30: Savannah Strollers Pinery Park Walking Group every Wednesday we meet in the Lambton Heritage Museum parking lot by 9:30 a.m.

May 3: Sunset Cinema Community Room Grand Bend Area CHC 7 pm. Movie is The Descendants a recent George Clooney movie. This movie deals with the loss of a spouse to cancer and how it affects the family, but is very upbeat! Everyone is welcome. Bring your own popcorn!

May 12: Plant Sale Grand Bend Horticultural Society. At the Grand Bend Post Office from 9-12 noon. Members will be selling specimens from their own gardens.

May 15: Grand Bend Women’s Institute meeting upstairs in the Community room at GBACHC at 1:30 p.m. Topic will be on the Youth Centre. Everyone welcome

May 15: Grand Bend Men’s Probus club meeting 10 a.m. at the Grand Bend Legion. Speaker Rev. Christine O’Reilly. Everyone welcome.
