Canada’s Premier, Juried Art Competition & Show of Representational Art
Attracting hundreds of entries, Grand Bend local artist Barry Richman founded this art competition and show because of his personal passion for representational art and to foster an art form beloved by many Canadians.
Cash awards include $2,000 for “Best in Show”, $500 for “Second Place”, $500 for “Awards of Merit” and $250 Tom Crossman Memorial Award for best watercolour.
The opening night is a highly popular and well attended event.
Show opens daily, 11am to 5pm.
Grand Bend Artist Barry Richman’s Vision
Barry believes first impressions in nature are everything. He understands the role an artist’s perception and knowledge of colour and light can play in vividly recalling a scene, where often a camera cannot.
SINCE 1996 – PAINT ONTARIO DELIGHTS VISITORS
The Paint Ontario program celebrates the work of representational artists and the portrayal of the beauty of the province of Ontario.
This annual competition presents to the public the spirit and beauty of nature as portrayed by some of our finest artists. The work is professionally displayed in the Lambton Heritage Museum’s Lambton Gallery just south of Grand Bend across from Pinery Provincial Park.
